Golden Corral supports vets
Thank you to the Golden Corral Restaurant in Kokomo for honoring veterans with its annual Veterans Day meal. This act of recognition for the service of America’s veterans is always greatly appreciated.
The support for veterans by the Kokomo Golden Corral goes beyond the Veterans Day honor. In 2006, the Kokomo Golden Corral ranked among the leading Golden Corral Restaurants nationally which contributed to and supported Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
Earlier this year, DAV magazine reported, “Throughout 2006, Golden Corral has created opportunities for DAV to expand its message of hope to disabled veterans and to reach out to the American people.”
Once again, thank you, Kokomo Golden Corral, for your open support for our nation’s veterans!

Parents should think twice about movie
There will be a new children’s movie out in December called “The Golden Compass.” It is written by Phillip Pullman, a proud atheist who belongs to secular humanist societies. He hates C.S. Lewis’ “Chronicles of Narnia” and has written a trilogy to show the other side.
The movie has been dumbed-down to fool kids and their parents in the hope that they will buy his trilogy where, in the end, the children kill God and everyone can do as they please.
It will be out Dec. 7. It stars Nicole Kidman, and it is directed toward children.
Phillip Pullman is an atheist and his objective is to bash Christianity and promote atheism. He wants to kill God in the minds of our children.

Soldier brothers receive a tribute
I picture three brave men leaving one day. To fight a great war in a land far away. They didn’t object or question the call, they’d do their duty for the safety of all.
Then I see a mother kneeling at night, asking the Lord to make everything right. She calls them by name, as she wipes away tears, since she last saw them, O! it seems many years.
She worries and wonders as each day goes by. And her sleep is troubled with a worrisome sigh. She longs for the day when they’re home once again, she’ll welcome their presence, those precious young men. She’s keeping the faith, as she tries to be strong, God gives her the strength to help her along. She smiles though her heart is heavy and sore. Believing that one day they’ll enter her door. Then someone says the war is done, there are those who lost and those who won. The fighting is over, at least for a while. She wipes away tears and begins to smile.
Three soldiers return and enter her door. Her prayers have been answered, and they’re home once more. Welcomed with love and smiles from their mother. I know those brave men, they’re my precious brothers.
