Elizabeth I. Eller, 80, Flora, passed away 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center in Delphi. Born Jan. 31, 1928, in Flora, she was the daughter of Basil and Faye Cline Ayres. On May 2, 1947, she married Dale L. Eller at the Church of the Brethren in Flora. He preceded her on May 21, 2003.
She was a 1946 graduate of Flora High School.
She had been employed at Stephan’s IGA 16 years, Graham’s Corner and Eller Service Station, all in Flora. She was a member of Living Faith Church of the Brethren. She was one of the local founders of the Delta Theta Chi Sorority, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and had been assistant mother advisor to the Rainbow Girls.
She is survived by four daughters, Shirley Chodorowski and husband Tom, Florida, Rita Hudelson and husband Jerry, Lafayette, Janet Kingen and husband Mark, Ohio, and Susan Denny and husband Greg, Flora. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Living Faith Church of the Brethren with one hour of calling prior to the services. Pastor Jeff Tomson will officiate the service and burial will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Reinke Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to either Southern Care Hospice or Living Faith Church of the Brethren.
