Mary Jo Ann Boone

Mary Jo Ann Boone, 81, Kokomo, died at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at Howard Regional Health System. She was born April 19, 1927, in Bunker Hill, to Logan and Anna (Boucher) Harding. On April 26,1953, she married Max C. Boone, and he died Sept. 5, 1986.

She graduated from Russiaville High School in 1945.

She is survived by one son, Steven Boone, Kokomo; longtime special best friend, Sharon Kaufman, Kokomo; nieces and nephews, Larry Harding, Maryville, Tenn., Joe Stahl, Burlington, Bobby Harding (Susan), Kokomo, David Stahl, Pioneer, Calif., Rick Harding (Cathy), Westfield, Ron Harding, Kokomo, Diana Boone, Los Lunus, N.M., and David Boone, Placipas, N.M.; sister-in-laws, June Boone, Placipas, N.M., and Mary Harding, Kokomo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Joe and Bob Harding; and sister and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Jack Stahl and Fred Boone.

Services are 11 a.m. today at Stout & Son Funeral Home Russiaville Chapel, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Tom Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may call one hour before the service on today at the funeral home.
