Alleged pot dealer found asleep in car
An alleged marijuana dealer was arrested by police while he was sleeping in his vehicle parked at Maconaquah High School early Wednesday.
About 9 a.m., a student told school officials there was a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot near the tennis courts.
When deputies of the Miami County Sheriff Department arrived, they found Joshua A. Belzer, 21, Kokomo, intoxicated and in possession of a quantity of marijuana, which police say was packaged for resale. Belzer was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana in excess of 30 grams.
Belzer also was wanted on a warrant out of Miami County for failing to appear for his initial hearing on a driving while suspended charge.
